Interesting facts about this Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II
This ROLLS-ROYCE Silver Cloud II is now in its 65th year of production. Its previous owners seem to have taken good care of it throughout, because even after decades it presents itself technically and visually in a consistently functional and very well-maintained condition. Important to mention: This Rolls-Royce is not a ‘made-up US corpse’ but a genuine Brit. The Silver Cloud II has been registered with an H licence plate for the last 18 years and has been well maintained and regularly driven over long distances, but never in the winter months! The MOT reports for the last 9 years are available and allow unambiguous conclusions to be drawn about the technical condition and the quality of the maintenance. Everything works as it should, the engine starts easily, runs silky smooth and the automatic gearbox shifts gears perfectly. The bodywork, interior, wood applications, carpeting and headlining are in a really beautiful, well-kept condition in keeping with its age. This classic has been a more than reliable travelling companion for its owners over the years and is now for sale. We will be happy to send you further pictures if you are interested.

The main problem with classic Bentley and Rolls-Royce cars is that they are generally driven very little or not at all and stand unused for months or years in garages, museums or showrooms. In most cases, they are also filled with the wrong oils and fluids due to a lack of knowledge, which attack and destroy the seals, hoses, etc. The joy of owning a classic RR then quickly gives way to genuine despair.
The owner of this RR also experienced the effects of this storage damage, the repair of which incurred considerable costs.
Now, the classic car is driven almost daily during the summer months, even over very long distances, and has become a trouble-free ‘daily driver’. Not least because it receives a major service every year after its ‘hibernation’.

History of this Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II
The RR Silver Cloud II was presented to the public for the first time in 1959. Externally, it hardly differed from the Silver Cloud I, but it was fitted with a 6.2-litre V8 engine, with significant improvements in terms of acceleration and torque. The considerable increase in engine power allowed a top speed of up to 183 km/h. Power steering was now standard equipment and electric windows could be ordered for an extra charge. The Rolls-Royce had a four-speed automatic transmission and hydraulic drum brakes with a mechanical brake booster. A total of 2417 Silver Cloud II vehicles were produced.
