THE BEST IN THE RANGE

Of all the variants in the first-generation Panamera range, the GTS was the one built for the driver. Introduced for the 2013 model year, it combined the most evocative engine in the catalogue, a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8, with hardware borrowed from the flagship: the Panamera Turbo’s braking system and SportDesign front end, adaptive air suspension lowered by 10 millimeters, a sport exhaust, and the Sport Chrono package, all standard.

It was the last of its kind, too. When the GTS returned in the second-generation Panamera, it did so with turbochargers, and the atmospheric eight-cylinder left the range for good. ”Bluntly, this is the best Panamera in the range,” Top Gear concluded. ”Mighty power delivered through a long, sweet rev-band, and a bonkers V8 soundtrack.”

Factory build records show a warranty start of 30 June 2015, with the car retailed new by the legendary Isringhausen Imports of Springfield, Illinois, on 30 November of that year. It was finished in Jet Black Metallic, and the options list was led by the black leather and Alcantara interior with its Carmine Red GTS package, and 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels in high-gloss black, with the Premium Package Plus, soft-close doors, and the BOSE surround sound system bringing the total retail price to $127,470.

Power comes from the naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8, its 440 horsepower reaching all four wheels through Porsche’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.

Eleven years on, the Jet Black paintwork presents with genuine depth against the gloss-black wheels and red brake calipers. Inside, Carmine Red stitching runs through the Alcantara sport seats, the driver’s outer bolster carrying the lightest of creasing of eleven years’ use. The accompanying file records a remarkable continuity of care: the Panamera returned to Isringhausen for servicing on 14 occasions, with no accidents or damage reported and a clean history throughout.

It has twice been sold as a Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, in August 2021 and again in September 2025, on each occasion again via Isringhausen. The last of those Illinois visits were substantial ones, with spark plugs and a transmission fluid and filter change at 20,998 miles in June 2025, followed three months later by four new tires, front brake rotors, and drive belts.

Paint protection film and ceramic coating were applied in October of 2025 by a Massachusetts specialist, and Porsche dealers in New England have serviced the car since. This is the best Panamera of its generation, and also the best-kept.
