The final year SL’s by Mercedes Benz is a very coveted roadster known for its tank like build quality, exquisite styling and very comfortable cruising capabilities. The R107 or third generation of these iconic cars were built for nearly 20 years and were highly optioned from the factory with very few stand-alone optional equipment available. The final years cars were the most powerful with its 5.6 Liter able to push these tanks to a staggering 130 MPH... They also had a jaw dropping price tag of over $60,000 in 1988 which equates to almost $170,000 today. This particular car comes out of long term ownership showing just two-owners from new. It has both hard and soft tops both in very good condition. The paint appears to be original and has typical wear and tear as expected from age but still shines nicely. The car comes with a clean carfax, original window sticker, owners manuals and keys along with quite a bit of service history. It starts right up and goes down the road as it should.
