While being built, an Arrington ”Chip Killer” was added which eliminates the computer and adds a distributor for the ignition. Also, a Milodon oiling system and an Edelbrock dual-quad intake works with two Edelbrock 500 cfm carburetors sitting on top of the powerful Hemi.
Backing up all that power is an Art Carr built A727 transmission with a 10-inch converter. Shifting the gears is done via a Hurst custom floor shifter mounted in a center console.
In the rear is a Strange-built rearend with Sure Grip and a 3.50 gear that moves the Dart along nicely. Stopping power is done via Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners.
This power crazy Mopar rolls along on front suspension by Magnumforce that is a tubular unit with coil overs. The rear is hung by a Morrison four link and coil overs. The power rack and pinion steering helps with handling and control.
Nothing beats a classic American Racing five spoke. Wrap them in BFG radials, and you have a traditional combination that looks great cruising down the road or sitting still.
The Dupont Tornado Red that was applied by Frank’s Custom and Collision of Lake Havasu City, AZ looks great and stands out in a crowd. Howard’s Auto Upholstery, also of Lake Havasu City, AZ covered the seats and most of the interior with a light gray and charcoal leather then trimmed it all with a contrasting red. There is no radio, you simply plug your iPod into the amp for tunes. Let’s not forget that the air conditioning is another ”cool” factor.
