This 1962 Chevrolet Nova is a sharp early Chevy II that combines classic styling with a healthy dose of V8 performance. Finished in bright red over a black interior, the car has a clean, purposeful appearance accented by polished wheels, chrome trim, and a wood-rim steering wheel. Inside, black bucket seats, a floor-mounted shifter, and additional under-dash gauges give the cabin a period hot-rod feel.
Under the hood sits a built 350ci V8 roller motor equipped with an Edelbrock high-rise aluminum intake and Holley 650 CFM carburetor. Power is sent through a Muncie M22 ”Rock Crusher” 4-speed manual transmission, making this lightweight Nova a particularly engaging car to drive. A 3.76 rear gear provides a strong balance between acceleration and street usability, while a Moser rear setup with CalTracs helps put the power to the pavement.
Supporting the upgraded drivetrain is an aluminum radiator to help keep the V8 cool, along with power steering for easier maneuverability. The car has also received a new exhaust system, giving the small-block an appropriately aggressive soundtrack. Recent maintenance includes new tires, new brakes, and a fresh alignment, helping make this Nova ready to get out and enjoy.
With its lightweight early Nova body, built small-block power, M22 four-speed, and well-selected supporting upgrades, this 1962
Chevrolet Nova delivers the kind of straightforward analog performance that makes classic street machines so much fun. It has the right combination of vintage looks, a manual transmission, and proven Chevrolet V8 power for someone looking for a classic that’s considerably more exciting than stock.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing, and/or $240 documentation fees.
