This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle combines the unmistakable look of Chevrolet’s mid-size muscle era with a serious big-block drivetrain and a high-quality restoration. Finished in a striking blue with a contrasting black vinyl top, the Chevelle has a clean, aggressive stance on black wheels while retaining the chrome bumpers, stainless trim, SS-style badging, and classic lines that make the 1966 model so recognizable. The car underwent a rotisserie restoration approximately three years prior to the supplied documentation, during which the body was stripped to bare metal and extensively refinished. The restoration included new trim, chrome, seals, and body mounts, with attention carried into the engine compartment and underside.

Under the hood is a 427ci big-block V8 built around a four-bolt-main block and fitted with Brodix aluminum cylinder heads. Additional engine components include an Erson camshaft, steel crankshaft, roller rockers, Edelbrock intake, Quick Fuel 750 CFM carburetor, MSD Pro-Billet distributor, and MSD ignition box. Hedman headers feed a dual exhaust system, while a Griffin aluminum radiator helps keep the big block cool. The engine compartment is exceptionally well presented, with polished and aluminum components complemented by the body-color firewall and surrounding sheet metal.

Backing the 427 is a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission paired with a ceramic dual-friction clutch. The TKO 600 is a stout overdrive transmission designed specifically for high-performance applications, giving this Chevelle the combination of strong acceleration and much more comfortable highway cruising. Power is sent to a 12-bolt rear end equipped with Richmond 3.73 gears and Positraction, creating a drivetrain well suited to the character of the big-block engine.

Inside, the Chevelle features a clean black interior with bench seats and a floor-mounted 5-speed shifter. An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel fronts a custom gauge panel filled with white-face instrumentation, giving the driver considerably more information while maintaining a purposeful period-inspired appearance. The wiring and gauges were updated during the restoration, and the soft interior components were also renewed. The radio is functional; however, the speakers have been disconnected so the original rear deck board could remain installed. A replacement deck board and a new passenger-side door window are included with the car.

The level of restoration is particularly evident underneath. The floors, frame, suspension components, rear axle, exhaust, and associated hardware present exceptionally cleanly, with the underside receiving the same attention as the visible portions of the car. The trunk is likewise neatly finished and carpeted. With its 427 big block, Tremec 5-speed, 3.73-geared 12-bolt rear end, detailed rotisserie restoration, and sharp blue-and-black presentation, this 1966 Chevelle offers the look of a classic A-body with a drivetrain built to be enjoyed.
