This 1978 Cadillac Eldorado is an exceptionally well-preserved example of Cadillac’s full-size personal luxury coupe, showing just 1,300 original miles. Presented in its original Arizona Beige and Demitasse Brown Metallic two-tone exterior, the car retains the unmistakable presence of a late-1970s Eldorado, with its long hood, formal roofline, extensive chrome trim, fender skirts, and classic Cadillac wheel covers with whitewall tires. Its remarkably low mileage and highly original condition make it a standout survivor from the final year of this generation Eldorado.

The interior is equally impressive, finished in beige and brown leather with deeply cushioned, button-tufted seating and extensive woodgrain trim throughout the cabin. The condition is consistent with the extraordinarily low mileage, with the dashboard, carpeting, upholstery, door panels, controls, and trim all presenting beautifully. The car remains largely as Cadillac delivered it, and everything is reported to be in working order.

Power comes from Cadillac’s 425ci V8, paired with an automatic transmission and Cadillac’s front-wheel-drive system. While originality has been carefully preserved, the Eldorado has also benefited from substantial recent mechanical attention to make it ready to enjoy. Service records document work including replacement of the CV axles, rear air shocks, fuel pump, radiator and heater hoses, sway-bar end links, drive belts, battery, and control-arm bushings. The braking system received extensive service including rotors, pads, calipers, hoses, master cylinder, and fresh brake fluid, while the transmission was serviced and the carburetor rebuilt and retested. The fuel tank was also removed and cleaned, followed by a four-wheel alignment and synthetic oil and filter service.

Additional work included converting the air-conditioning system from R12 to R134a, helping retain the comfort expected from a Cadillac while making the system more practical to service today. The maintenance documentation reflects a significant investment in addressing age-related components despite the car’s exceptionally limited use.

With only 1,300 original miles, original finishes, an outstanding interior, extensive recent servicing, and all major equipment functioning as intended, this 1978 Cadillac Eldorado offers an unusual combination of preservation and usability.
