Vintage Rolex GMT-Master 1675 - Glossy Gilt Dial
By Paul Altieri,
Rolex 1675, just hearing that model number will grab the ear of any vintage timepiece collector. It is easily one of the most recognizable vintage watches in the world. While it was conceived to aid pilots as they are flying, it quickly transcended that role and became an iconic watch all on its own, worn by actors and powerful people the world over. Its many variations means that you can find one that specifically suits your taste personally. Introduced in the mid 1950’s, the GMT line has grown and evolved with every generation and has a completely loyal following that loves every model ranging from the first prototype to the latest “Batman”.
This specific 1675 from 1963 is truly a sight to behold! Sporting a gorgeous, glossy finish, gilt lettering dial, this feature alone would make it desirable. Adding to that is the small arrowhead GMT hand, that is correct for this model, and you have a winning combination. That is not all on this model however, In addition to that it comes with a very faded, almost ghost, fat font bezel insert in the Pepsi colors combination. What tops this piece of is the fabulous bracelet, though it is newer, It is vintage in its own right being the 7838 fold-over oyster link bracelet. The hands have been colored to match the dial and a few of the hour markers are partially missing some luminous material. This is truly a beautiful piece, don’t run the chance of waiting and missing it! If you have any questions fee free to contact Larry at email@example.com.
