The case measures 43 mm in diameter with a thickness of 15.5 mm and is crafted in Oystersteel and yellow gold with a monobloc middle case, scratch resistant sapphire crystal with a cyclops lens over the date, a screw-down case back, a winding crown with Triplock triple waterproofness system and Helium escape valve all attributing to the very impressive 1,220 meter / 4,000 feet water resistance.

The striking black dial with its large hour markers that have been treated with long-lasting blue luminescence for easy reading and its unidirectional 60-minute rotatable bezel, allows divers to safely monitor their dive and decompression times. The bezel has a scratch-resistant Cerachrom insert in black ceramic with numerals and graduations coated in 18K yellow gold. Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire and a cyclops lens over the date. Paired with an Oystersteel bracelet with three-piece solid links, and is secured with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp.

The power behind the Sea-Dweller is the Calibre 3235, Manufacture Rolex and it offers functions that include centre hour, minute and seconds hands, instantaneous date with rapid setting, stop-seconds for precise time setting and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
