The selfwinding GMT-Master II “Sprite” is designed to be worn on the right-hand side of the wrist, known as a ”Destro,” meaning right in Italian, right as in right-sided placement, and more simply means a watch designed for either left-handed people, or for those who prefer to wear their timepiece on their right arm.

Crafted from Oystersteel the Sprite measures 40 mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.5 mm. The bidirectional, rotatable 24 hour bezel is crafted in a scratch resistant ceramic material known as Cerachrom in black and rich verdant forest green and accented with moulded numerals and graduations. Highly legible hour markers stand out against the glossy black dial, with white gold luminous Mercedes-logo sword and Breguet-style shaped hands, with the arrow-tipped GMT hand in the classic Rolex green. The date window has been relocated to the 9 o’clock position alongside the winding crown. Paired with an Oystersteel bracelet with flat three-piece links and secured with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp.

Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire with a cyclops lens over the date and a screw-down caseback and winding crown with Triplock Triple waterproofness system all contributing to the impressive 100 meter water resistance. The power behind the 126720VTNR-0001 is the calibre 3285, Manufacture Rolex, a perpetual, mechanical movement that offers functions that include centre hour, minute and seconds hands, instantaneous date, 24-hour display, a second time zone with independent rapid-setting of the hour hand and a power reserve of 70 hours.
