The Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona gained international recognition when it appears on the wrist of actor Paul Newman in the 1969 Indy car racing film Winning and has since been associated with the actor and professional auto racing. Driving the heart of this watch is the Rolex Calibre 4130 self-winding mechanical chronograph movement featuring a center chronograph second hand accurate to within an 1/8th of a second. The dial is black with three tan sub-dials, similar to the style Newman wore in the film. The scratch resistant sapphire crystal is elegantly framed with a fixed Tachymetric bezel also made in yellow gold. The strap is the genuine black alligator leather securing on the wrist with the fold over Oysterclasp.
This model has been discontinued by Rolex.
The watch comes complete with Rolex box and papers.
