This is a set of four incredibly rare Rolex Day-Date timepieces that are presented on iconic Tridor bracelets. The Rolex Tridor bracelet was introduced in late 1980s, as the brand’s response to the, at the time, growingly chic trend of mixing the three main colors of gold. Thus, Rolex created a new, fashionable version of their all-time classic President bracelet by combining 18K white gold outer links with center links made out of a blend of 18K rose, yellow, and white gold. The multicolored gold was meticulously fused together to create flawlessly straight lines that run through the entire length of the bracelet.
As the brand’s flagship timepiece, the Rolex Day-Date with the President bracelet is only ever made in gold or platinum. This version, mounted on offbeat Tridor bracelets, is thus an exceptionally rare occurrence, with the bracelets giving the watches an extraordinary blend of both fashionable and vintage allure.
The dials are another rare feature of these models – the watches are offered with gold-tone “string” dials that include a circular string of diamonds on the edge of the dial, accompanied with either sapphire, emerald, diamond or ruby indexes. The dials feature the following functions: central hours, minutes and seconds, date indication under Cyclops lens at three o’clock, and day-of-the-week indication at 12 o’clock. The days are written in English, except in the watch with diamond indexes where they are written in Spanish.
The watches are presented with 36 mm cases in 18K white gold that are fitted with diamond-set bezels. The bezels are crafted from 18K white gold, except in the model with ruby indexes that boasts an 18K yellow gold bezel. The watches are equipped with the 3155 self-winding movement that builds up power reserve of 48 hours.
The set is offered in a pre-owned condition and includes the manufacturer’s pouch.
