The manual winding Richard Mille RM 057 Tourbillon ”Jackie Chan” was inspired by Jackie’s Chinese name which means “one who will become a dragon”. 2012 was the year of the dragon and it seemed fitting that Richard Mille would release the Jackie Chan RM 057 Dragon.

Its tripartite tonneau shaped case is crafted from 18k red gold and measures 50.0 x 42.7 mm and 14.55 mm in thickness. The dial features luminescent dot hour markers and arrow-tipped hands to improve legibility in low-light conditions. Entwined around the movement of the RM057 with a total thickness of just 5.5 mm, is a dragon created from 18K red gold that has been entirely hand-engraved, the dragon’s body twists around the bridges, barrel, and finally the tourbillon which is grasped between its five-toed claw, proof of its imperial status. The baseplate is crafted in black onyx, a stone that symbolises equilibrium and inspiration, and is thought to be a stone that can repel negative thoughts it also features Jackie’s signature. Paired with a black rubber strap and secured with a red gold pin buckle. Water-resistant to 50 meters.

The power behind this timepiece is the calibre RM057, a manual winding tourbillon movement that offers functions that include hours, minutes, and power reserve indicator.
