Patek Philippe Ref# 5020 was introduced in 1994 as an alternative to the 3970. Because of its unusual shape, it was soon referred to as the television watch. Production was quickly discontinued after about 10 years due to the lack of interest from the collectors for its unique case. Patek Philippe produced an extremely small number, of about 200 reference 5020's in total of yellow, rose, white gold and platinum.
This example was produced 2004, making it one of the last examples to leave the factory.
