Description

This rare cushion shaped Patek Philippe Ref# 5020J is accompanied with a certificate of origin, extract from the archives, setting pin, manual, box and hang tag. This example is in excellent condition with extremely crisp hallmarks. The 5020J perpetual chronograph manual wind watch, features a 37 mm case. This is a yellow example with silver dial and yellow gold deployment buckle. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, month, moon phase, leap year indicator, 24 hour indicator and chronograph. Patek Philippe Ref# 5020 was introduced in 1994 as an alternative to the 3970. Because of its unusual shape, it was soon referred to as the television watch. Production was quickly discontinued after about 10 years due to the lack of interest from the collectors for its unique case. Patek Philippe produced an extremely small number, of about 200 reference 5020's in total of yellow, rose, white gold and platinum. This example was produced 2004, making it one of the last examples to leave the factory.
