Patek Philippe created the first Calatrava back in 1932, exceptionally well regarded around the world, for being a timeless and understated watch. Inspired by the minimalist principles of the Bauhaus - a German school of art and architecture which adheres to the principle that form must follow function.
The modern Calatrava watches still adhere to that philosophy, the clean lines and the clarity of its clear, pure dial. The beauty of this timepiece is only enhanced by the 18ct gold textured hobnail bezel and 18ct gold case, which has a striking clear case back, allowing you to view the complex internal movement contained within. The name Calatrava is taken from that of the cross which is used as Patek Philippes emblem.
This 18ct Yellow Gold Calatrava was originally purchased in June 2011. The watch is in Mint condition, and is supplied as a complete set with all original inner and outer presentation boxes, with instruction manual, certificate of origin and Patek Philippe booklets, with leather document holder.
This stunning timepiece is presented on a dark brown crocodile leather Patek Phillipe strap with 18ct gold Patek Philippe pin buckle, and was originally purchased through a well regarded Patek Phillipe retailer based in Lancashire UK in 2011.
