AS DESCRIBED ON THE OFFICIAL PANERAI WEBSITE:
THE P.2004, A MOVEMENT MADE BY OFFICINE PANERAI, and an innovative machining process on the case make the Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT Ceramica - 44 mm a key player in the history of fine watchmaking. It's an underwater watch like its predecessors, but with additional functions that make it both sporty and sophisticated. Manually wound, with eight days of power reserve and a power reserve indicator, the Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT Ceramica also has a single-button chronograph and a second time zone with day/night indicator. All this in a case that, while remaining faithful to the unmistakeable Luminor design, is made of high-tech black ceramic, machined using an isostatic pressure process, making the structure extremely hard and highly resistant to temperature changes, corrosive agents, scrapes and scratches. The 44-mm diameter case is watertight to 10 BAR (~100 meters) and is made of zirconium oxide with an opaque finish, and bears the characteristic drawbridge. The screwed-in titanium back plate is coated with a special black treatment, and the sapphire crystal window shows off the manual P.2004 movement. On the left, a ceramic button starts, stops and resets the chronograph. The power reserve indicator is located above the 6 on the black dial, with a cursor that moves horizontally, while at 3 and 9 o'clock, respectively, are the chronograph's minute counter and the constantly moving small seconds dial.
