Audemars Piguet "Las Vegas Strip" Ladies' Royal Oak Offshore, 18kt White Gold Diamond Limited Edition of ONLY 60 Pieces
No Need for a Fancy Introductions for this Magnificent Masterpiece - Limited to only 60 Pieces
This delightful creation presents all the astonishing beauty of the larger diamond set Offshore Las Vegas Strip chronograph in an unmistakably feminine profile. The Royal Oak Chronograph's white gold case is a work of art with a fully paved setting of 323 brilliant cut diamonds, placed with incredible skill. The black "Mega Tapisserie" dial flashes seductive red subdials offset with individual brilliant cut diamonds in place of numerals at the hour markers, creating a sporty yet sophisticated versatility that bridges day and evening with ease. Inside, accentuating the slim dimensions is the extra flat chronograph automatic chronograph caliber 2385, with the date set discreetly at the
4:30 position on the dial. This homage to cutting edge elegance also features diamond setting on the Audemars Piguet folding clasp. Presented by Audemars Piguet on a black leather strap, water resistant to 20 meters, black rubber screw down crown and black rubber pushers, the timepiece is presented with two sets of Audemars Piguet playing cards
The Las Vegas Strip is famous for its lights. It's really a spectacular sight, if you haven't been, with all of the lights and the great water show in front of the Bellagio Hotel. Well, when Audemars Piguet produced this limited edition (60 made) Royal Oak Offshore "Las Vegas Strip", they supplied the Las Vegas light show with the diamonds on the
case - 323 diamonds to be exact, which add up to approximately 5.86 carats.
Case is 18k white gold with dimensions of 37mm. Crystal is sapphire. In addition to the diamonds set into the famous Royal Oak octagonal bezel, the structural white gold screws are also visible, which hold the case together. The crown and chronograph pushers are covered with a black compound to make them more durable and also easier
I'll tell you what, the diamond work on this case is outstanding. I read AP's press release about this watch and I am doing to excerpt it here, because they do a better job than I can elaborating the skill and dedication that went into making this over the top bomb of a case:
"Each of the myriad precious gems is painstakingly matched for cut, color and clarity before being set with the utmost attention to detail. A careful examination of the diamonds in the bezel, for instance, reveals that each is a slightly different size so as to precisely bridge the difference between the perfect circle of the inner bezel and the octagonal geometry of the outer bezel. The flawless decoration of each white gold component extends to the Audemars Piguet folding clasp as well."
Take a look at the hinges that connect the strap to the watch and the buckle completely covered in diamonds and done PERFECTLY. Most impressive.
The dial is black with red numerals and luminous hands. The engraved pattern on the dial is called Mega Tapisserie. The scales on the subdials are also in red, as are the
seconds and subdial hands. Date is displayed between 4 and 5 o'clock.
Movement is the automatic winding Audemars Piguet chronograph.
Strap is black hand-sewn AP crocodile with exposed red stitching. Clasp is an 18k white gold deployant clasp, which as the picture below shows, is also diamond set.
