This is a fine Audemars Piguet set of three exceptionally rare Jules Audemars Tourbillon timepieces (ref. number 25718), manufactured in the 1990s. These timepieces are made in edition of 50 pieces each. Offered here is the very rare complete set.
This watch model was introduced by Audemars Piguet in 1991 as the world's first self-winding tourbillon wristwatch with date and power reserve indication. The cases boast special design, with back-winders and incredibly unconventional teardrop lugs. The cases measure 39 mm in diameter. These timepieces are equipped with the 2875 self-winding movement that contains 41 jewels and builds up power reserve of 56 hours.
The platinum (25718PT) and yellow gold (25718BA) models are offered with white dials and presented on black leather straps fitted with tang buckles. The rose gold model (25718RO) is mounted onto a brown leather strap and offered with a rose gold dial. The dials feature off-centered hours and minutes, additional sub-dials for date and power reserve indications, and an aperture at the six o’clock position revealing the tourbillon.
The set is offered in a pre-owned condition and includes a gift box.
