Embraer Readies Legacy 650 for Takeoff

Got €21 million burning a hole in your Dockers? Not to worry son – slap it down on Embraer’s new Legacy 650, which the Brazilian executive jet builder will commence deliveries on later this year. The jazzed-up version of the popular Legacy 600 can fly up to 3,900 nautical miles (7,223 km) nonstop with four passengers, or 3,800 nautical miles (7,038 km) with eight passengers - over 500 nautical miles (926 km) farther than the 600 – thanks to new highly efficient and more powerful Rolls-Royce AE 3007A2 engines.

The added distance means the 650 can fly nonstop from London to New York, Dubai to London or Singapore, Miami to São Paulo Singapore to Sydney or Mumbai to central Europe, without breaking a sweat or spilling your drink. Interior-wise you get three distinct cabin zones and a spacious galley, as well as the largest inflight accessible baggage compartment of any executive jet. Cabin noise levels were reduced with a state-of-the-art sound insulation package and it’s equipped for high-speed Internet datalink so you can work while in the air.
