Sportec Builds a Better 911

Swiss tuner Sportec has released details on its mind-blowing Porsche 911 Turbo performance kit, dubbed the SPR1 T80, which kicks out a massive 858 hp and 650lb-ft (880Nm) of torque. What does that translate to, you ask? Try 0 -100 km/h in only 3 seconds with the 300 km/h clocking in at18.9 seconds. On the test track at Nardo, Italy the T80 topped out at an eyeball-bleeding 380 km/h. Helping to nail those numbers is has a power-to-weight ratio of 572 hp/ton (638hp/tonne) which beats the Bugatti Veyron, with a kerb weight of 1,345kg.
When we say that Sportec basically rebuilt the bloody thing to rack up such impressive figures we’re not joking. Reinforced titanium engine internals, new turbochargers, a baffled exhaust system, a high-performance clutch, an active suspension system, lightweight forged alloy wheels, eight piston front and four piston rear calipers, F1-style ceramic brake discs, titanium and carbon fibre aerodynamic upgrades and 20” wheels are the bare essentials on the upgrade front. So you’d like to buy one, would you? Better act as fast as the T80 itself; Sportec only plans to build 10 of them.
