Stellenbosch South Africa
This historic farm was established by it’s first owner in 1692 and has been lovingly restored by it’s current owner and transformed into an exciting, artistic and productive estate.
As a wine, fruit and equestrian estate bordering on the Berg River it has a lot to offer. There are 22 hectares divided into two sections of 11 hectares each. The main house designed in the traditional Cape Style is on 11 hectares and is surrounded by 4.5 ha of vineyards, 850 lemon trees and 500 Guava trees. Apart from the luxurious main farmhouse there are another five houses which are leased out, one of which is an old historic building called the “Long House” dating back to the 1800’s. This can easily be converted into a restaurant or wedding venue.
The second 11 hectares is a sophisticated and well run equestrian center with a riding academy, 32 stables, numerous irrigated paddocks and an adjoining arena suitable for show jumping and dressage. Here too there is guest accommodation as well and seven staff cottages.
