Description

Part of the old cultural landscape is the Villa Harffen in the historic centre of Starnberg. It is one of the few original buildings of the most important villas in Bavaria.


Only 100 meters from the lake and train station, yet quiet (pedestrian street), it is a hub of old Starnberg. Beautiful old trees shield the property and guarantee the residents sufficient privacy.


In 1892, the hoteliers Johann and Theresia Harffen built this jewel with a mansard roof modeled after the French model and a heavily structured New Renaissance façade. Prince Philipp zu Eulenburg Hertefeld was once the owner of this estate for many years. The later owner was the preservation of this villa a matter of the heart. The architecture has not changed so far, even today the original windows, doors and floors have been preserved. To meet today's standards, the electrical system, plumbing and heating were brought up to date.
