The Ranch house and guest apartment were completed in 2007 and were custom built from large fir and log pole logs that were hand hewn in the Appalachian style. The beautifully crafted home features generous indoor and outdoor living spaces with views from every space and includes: a stylish and functional wrap around porch, an impressive great room with a floor to ceiling native stone fireplace, a hand crafted log staircase, gourmet cooks kitchen with honed granite counters and top of the line appliances, main floor master with a cozy sitting area and French doors to the covered porch, en-suite master bath with limestone counters and walk-in shower and separate soaking tub, guest bedroom with French doors to the porch and adjacent guest bath with beautiful limestone counters and a frame-less tub/shower enclosure. The flexible floor plan has room for all and includes a spacious 800 square foot loft area for extra sleeping, office/game room, and a large guest or caretaker apartment. Horses and outbuilding are allowed. Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) which services the Sun Valley Resort area is approximately 75 miles south of the ranch and is the nearest commercial airport with regular air service on SkyWest (Delta), Horizon (Alaska) and United Airlines. Stanley offers a state-owned grass airstrip capable of handling single engine aircraft. Boise, the state’s capital is located 130 miles southwest of Stanley.
