Hawk's View is located on a point of land between two bays - Cane Garden Bay and Brewer's Bay - and encompasses over 3 acres of prime real estate in an exclusive neighborhood of Tortola. The foyer almost goes unnoticed when presented with the magnificent view across the sitting area, but it deserves a second look since it sets the tone and introduces the old world charm found throughout the property. Marble floors and hardwood ceilings and window frames lend warmth and texture to the concrete construction.

The aforementioned view is difficult to ignore when looking around this house, continually distracting from the antique furnishings and bespoke artwork adorning the walls. The kitchen however is designed for someone who takes cooking seriously and has a large Wolf range taking front and centre stage. There are two main dining areas in which to enjoy the fruits and vegetables of the cooks labours; one is the more formal next to the kitchen, and the other outside, but also conveniently next to the kitchen. The master bedroom suite is the other side of the outdoor dining area and below it another bedroom with twin beds. The third bedroom lies just inside the entrance after the foyer. One does not need to be sophisticated to appreciate the classic styling and architecture of Hawk's View, even if one's taste differs. The impression is of a 1940's movie star hideaway, lost in the reverie of her Hollywood heydays. That's just an impression and, in reality, it's a welcome shady sanctuary from the intense Caribbean sunshine outdoors. Of course the option to bask in the warmth of tan-inducing ultraviolet rays is eminently available on the delightful pool patio, which comes complete with lounge chairs, table and sunbrella, all next to the inviting coolness of the swimming pool.

There are plenty of choices when it comes to sitting and relaxing in this house, with several different areas, indoors and out, providing varying levels of privacy and repose. The very lovely mature and immaculately kept garden is definitely one of the highlights of Hawk's View and provides not only visual enjoyment but a pleasant shady place to stroll. Hawk's View is aptly named, for its high elevation regularly provides an eye-level view of the many different avian species swooping and soaring, and sometimes seemingly hovering, on the Tradewind breezes.
