If you are a fan of the architectural style of Frank Lloyd Wright you will appreciate the effort that went into building this house custom-designed for the owners by architect Jim Fox of Highlands. The excitement of this home begins as you enter the 400' concrete driveway with steel railing guard rail, lit with led lighting controlled from the house. Your eyes will reach to the top of the house to admire the custom designed copper-hued metal roofing and complimentary downspouts and soffits. From the roof, eyes moving downward to appreciate the extensive heavy steel skeleton that frames the house. Your eyes will stop to study the 20' high engineered, cantilevered, out-stretching triangular concrete deck that juts out toward the mountains with lighted steel railings, designed to preserve views and provide safety. As you get out of the car you will notice the concrete steps with railings, angled around the walls at just the correct angles. Stepping off of the glass walled elevator and entering the home's living space you will be intrigued by the grand custom skylights with 1 hexagonal that is probably one of the largest and most unusual shapes seen anywhere. The cozy living room conversation area anchored with a cantilevered rocked double fireplace, so large that 2 gas logs were used. (Fireplace can be converted to wood burning). The verandah:area with wine cellar and grills are lit with outdoor gas lanterns. The wine cellar door was imported from China and is 400 years old. The total concept of the house was influenced by the owners several years residence in Hungary. The final result of this tremendous effort was a brilliantly planned bright and sunny open living space where glass prevails and views never stop as the seasons change.
