When approaching this special quinta, you get the impression that it is a small village. It is situated on a ridge and surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape with valleys and hills. The quinta consists of 4 buildings: the main house, a guest house, a salon and a large barn. There is also a carport with a garage. In total there are now 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Between the main house and the salon is the swimming pool. Several terraces offer a beautiful view of the wide surroundings. The 38 hectare estate includes a hill 30 metres higher than the quinta and a valley 30 metres lower. In the valley is a private orchard with an abundance of fruit. The quinta is suitable for permanent residence.

The last kilometre is a good country road, which runs on for another kilometre to the nearby “barragem do Arade” reservoir. The quinta has a 100 metre long driveway that runs past the guest house with an attached garage and carport to the entrance of the main house.

The main house was an old farmhouse whose main structure and appearance have been preserved. The front door opens into the spacious living kitchen with sliding doors to a partially covered terrace and double doors to the cosy living room. In the middle of the living room is a double-sided closed fireplace. Also from the living room there is a door to the south and west facing terrace which leads to the pool. Another door in the living room leads to a hallway with a bedroom and a bathroom on either side and on to the master bedroom with en suite bathroom. The master bedroom has sliding doors to the pool side terrace. At the entrance side of the main house is another bedroom with en suite bathroom. Originally, this room, which has its own front door, was connected to the living room with an inner door. This inner door is still there, but hidden by a bookcase. All rooms in the main house have central heating.

The guest house has a partially covered front terrace. The front door opens into a hallway with a door to the bathroom and another to the combined living room and bedroom, which are separated by a wall of cupboards. Through the windows there is a distant view to the dam of the reservoir. In the living room there are sliding doors to the covered terrace. The simple kitchen of the guest house is accessible from the covered terrace. Next to the kitchen is a covered outdoor area for storing wood.

Behind the main house is the 8m x 4m pool with a generous sun terrace. To the side of the main house is a covered shaded lounge area and near the sun terrace is a covered BBQ area with a stone sink.

Below the sun terrace is the salon, which is accessed via an internal staircase in the pool house. This multifunctional lounge is an approximately 65 m2 room with sliding doors on the south side, which give access to the rustic covered terrace on the valley. The salon, heated by a wood-burning stove and now with a pool table in the middle, can be arranged and used in many different ways.

Further back on the hill of the quinta is an approximately 43m2 barn with the tank for the water storage of the borehole and enough space for agricultural machinery. From the barn you can walk to the end of the hill where there is an old threshing floor.

The hot tap water is provided by solar panels, with an electric backup boiler. Gas is used for central heating. The quinta has a relatively high energy certificate B-.

You are about 10 minutes drive northeast of Silves with large supermarkets. Nearby is a very well known restaurant. In 20 minutes you drive to the beach. In 45 minutes you drive to the airport of Faro.
