Country House in Sarteano, Tuscany, Italy
Stunning estate in the heart of Val d'Orcia with stables and spa
The estate covers a total area of about 75 hectares in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, in a pristine natural setting of rare beauty. Inside the estate, there are three beautifully restored farmhouses, two ponds, a riding school with horse stables, a spa, a panoramic swimming pool, hot tubs, a renowned restaurant and about 30 hectares of olive grove with over 7,500 plants and production of organic oil of excellent quality. The farmlands have a hilly position, with the typical gullies of the Valdorcia and mostly exposed to the south. Currently the land is mainly olive grove, as the cultivation of olive trees in this area can give a product of the highest quality thanks to the temperature differential between day and night in summer / autumn periods. Some arable crops are currently used for the production of forage for horse breeding. In addition to agricultural activity, accommodation activities are also carried out both in the 2 houses of "Casa Baccano" nucleus, which has a total of 13 double rooms, large living areas, swimming pool and wellness centre, and in the exclusive "Tuscan Equestrian" resort, which has 4 bedrooms and 2 equestrian-themed apartments. Here is also possible, among other things, to do horse trekking, horse riding lessons or team building activities. The Tuscan Equestrian has a fenced paddock of over 5 ha inside which the horses will be able to move freely both day and night thanks to special shelters. The estate houses the gourmet restaurant "Extravergine", which offers delicious Tuscan lunches or dinners and snacks with the supervision of chef consultant Riccardo Benvenuti. Possibility to purchase an additional 115 ha with a 700-sqm farmhouse to renovate.
The lands of the estate is entirely in the municipality of Sarteano, in the heart of the Valdorcia and about twenty minutes from the junction of the A1 motorway. Nearby are the renowned villages of Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d'Orcia; the city of Siena is about 1 hour, Florence about 1h30 and Rome about 2 hours. Near the estate, you can visit the baths of Bagno Vignoni, Bagno San Filippo, San Casciano dei Bagni or those of Chianciano.
