Finca Esperanza Verde (FEV) is located near Matagalpa, in the northern mountainous region of Nicaragua, Central America, at approximately 4000 feet (1200 meters)
This property consists of 247 acres of preserved natural land located in a tropical rainforest area which is incredibly beautiful. Approximately 40 acres of shade grown, sustainable coffee, that is continually undergoing replanting and expansion.
An ecolodge with various accommodations for up to 18 people that includes room and dorm accommodations for any size travel group and budget. Professionally equipped kitchen and prep area for preparing meals for guests and staff. Also, a traditional Nicaraguan kitchen with a wood fired bread oven. Large pavilion with Western views for yoga, relaxing in the hammocks or couches surrounded by lush vegetation, birds, and incredible views.
Several potable and secure water sources (mountain springs) from the high point of the property (tested regularly) that are used for drinking water and supplies power for the hydro-generator and wet coffee mill.
Photovoltaic solar power supply system which responsibly provides power to the main lodge, each cabin, and other areas of the property. A (water-driven) hydro-generator system that acts as a backup to the solar power system – drawing its power from the naturally occurring water sources from the property
