The altitude ranges between 950m and 2500m and the resort offers over 35km of downhill slopes around the famous Roc d'Enfer, with its beautiful views of Lake Geneva, the Dents du Midi in Switzerland and the Mont Blanc range. La Grande Terche is very much suitable for intermediate skiers but also serves the experts and beginners well. The village itself has got a range of shops, bars and restaurants.
Nearby Morzine, 8km and Les Gets 12km
Morzine/Avoriaz and Les Gets are also in the Portes du Soleil ski domain that comprises 14 resorts in France and Switzerland. At only approximately 50km from Geneva, Morzine and St Jean D'Aulps couldn't be more accessible for short breaks as well as longer holidays.
The Portes du Soleil is a vast ski area with 650km of slopes and plenty of challenging off-piste.
