This apartment is located in a private residence which was formerly an annex of the magnificent Chateau Saint-Amé, characterized by a large park, and standing out from the Pampelonne beach. It is part with its annexes and its park of the historical and cultural heritage of the town.It was built in 1917 by Mr. Delarue, who had enriched himself by making small blocks of ice for the colonies to put in drinks for the refresh. Mr DeLarue installed in the park, which covers approx. 6 hectares, pergolas, rose gardens, greenhouses where he devoted himself to his passion for botany, factories designed in a rocky style and water features. In 1938 Saint-Amé was bought by a wealthy Lebanese family. Passionate about animals, they multiplied aviaries and hard cages. After their deaths the castle was sold to a promoter from Grenoble who hoped to find a patron to save this endangered masterpiece, because if the exterior has retained enough allure to encourage David Hamilton to come and film Billitis there, the interior not what it used to be ...
