Schloss Hüffe is a moated castle built between 1775-1784 and is situated in the village of Lashorst, part of the town of Preussisch Oldendorf in the Minden Lübbecke district. The estate lies south of the Mittelland canal in the Alsweder flatlands and has an area of approx. 8 hectares. It is privately owned and not accessible to the public except for the park south of Schlossstrasse.
The “central plot” in which the castle, outbuilding, manor house, orangery, old stables, baronial house, private cemetery on an island and castle park are all located has an area of approx. 145 hectares.
The impressive castle comprising a main building and east and west wings has three floors and a basement. The living space encompasses an area of approx. 2,000 m².
The spacious parkland featuring a bridge, moat with inflow, cemetery on an island and castle park is very well kept. The line of sight from the castle via the bridge to the castle park opens up a unique panorama. On clear days, you can see as far as the Wiehen Hills. The park is under the constant care of a gardener.
The outbuilding consists of a riding arena and stables with 6 boxes for 12 horses and a centrally located administration building on three floors.
One of Germany’s most beautiful and well-preserved castles with impressive parkland is up for sale.
