Boasting over 279 hectares, this extraordinary estate is located in the heart of a national park overlooking Warta River. It is situated 25 kilometers from Poznan, which is perfectly connected via highway with Berlin and Warsaw, approximately 300 kilometers from each of these cities. The airport in Poznan is connected to the most strategic European airports. Sowiniec estate also has its own airstrip and helipad. Its land is built-up with year round amenities, most spectacularly polo fields and arenas, and it also comprises of meadows and riverside area. By the river, there is a private marina available to its owner.
The best equipped polo club in this part of Europe belongs to this unique property. In winter, an indoor arena comes in handy for stick and ball practice. During the season, tournaments are held outdoors either on an arena or on two full-size polo fields. From early June until late September, a number of polo tournaments are held here, the largest of which is traditionally Sowiniec Polo Cup. The club regularly holds polo tournaments involving teams from all Europe. Sowiniec Polo Club has won the title of the Polish Club Champion four times in a row and a series of German Polo Tour.
Currently, the club is equipped with: stables for 60 horses, an indoor riding arena measuring 40x20m, an outside polo arena with lighting 100x50m, a walking machine for 8 horses, a training track and two full-size polo fields 275x155m, summer and winter paddocks and a country-style guest house with five suites with an area of 465 square meters. The estate comprises of a wonderful oak-panelled indoor tennis court with an area of 940 square meters and an office building with an area of 540 square meters connected to the carriage house (282 square meters) and garages (311 square meters).
The main building has an oversized area of 3.246 square meters with four floors. There are nine beautifully furnished suites with private bathrooms, located on the first and second floors. The ground floor is very representative of this type of estate including a huge ballroom with hand painted ceiling and huge crystal chandeliers, a library/ cigar lounge, a dining room with mahogany panelling, owners' kitchen equipped with Clive Christian furniture, a study, the main lobby with white marble floor and an indoor swimming pool.
