Stunning 480 ha (almost 1,200 acres) cattle ranch and forest reserve, high in the mountains near Monteverde. In Monteverde, cloud forest reserves, adventure parks, research institutes, schools, restaurants and boutique hotels have made it one of the most important ecotourism destinations in the world.  La Guaria itself has a fantastic variety of topography, vegetation, and climate. There are rolling hills, deep valleys with old forests, and epic views in every direction, especially the sunsets over the Gulf of Nicoya and hills beyond.

The property includes thirty year-round springs, as well as river and creek frontage. Parts of the existing forest lie within the Bellbird Biological Corridor, helping to connect two important river valleys. Public water and power are available.

This ranch offers multiple possibilities. There are numerous large and small hotel sites with locations for a supporting residential development.
