Only 150 metres from the shore and an opportunity to take a swim in the sea, you will find the lovely home called “Villa Vindkulla”, built in 1913 adjacent to an elevated part of the Landborgskanten promenade with its view of Öresund Sound, and beyond it, Denmark. Here, in recent years, this house has been the object of luxurious reconstruction and extensions, transforming it into a modern home with quality material and excellent craftsmanship – a home with every modern convenience on a beautiful property that preserves so many of its period details.
The entire exterior and interior of this home has been renovated so that what is new complements the lovely original features, and the facade, which was part of the preservation programme, has been extended by an attractive glassed-in veranda that both conforms to the style of the house while at the same time expanding it. On the roof of the glassed in veranda, there is a large balcony that has been additionally reinforced to bear the weight of the heated outdoor spa, where you can bathe all year round as you gaze out over Öresund Sound or just watch the stars. And all this is so close to the French doors that lead the master bedroom and bathroom. The upper floor also features visible prominently exposed support beams in all the rooms and the family room, which has been opened to the roof ridge, which also has exposed ceiling beams, and an additional balcony that fronts on the Sound. The stately stairway that leads down to the entrance floor has a charming landing with a window, as well as a guest lavatory with restored original tiles from the year of construction, designed by the then head designer at the famous Höganäsbolagen ceramics manufacturer. The entrance level has high ceilings with stucco decorations. The flooring on all the levels are made of solid walnut wood placed directly on the joists, except for the areas with clinker tile flooring with subfloor heating. In the living room and its oriel, where you will enjoy a wonderful view of the Sound, there is the well-constructed old Höganäs tiled stove that provides extra comfort and cosiness on winter days, and serves as a lovely decoration in warmer times. Six of the rooms have air conditioning installed. This also cools the kitchen, which has been made significantly larger and now shares an open layout with the dining room, in addition to offering a view of Öresund. Both the kitchen and the dining room are partially open to the new glassed-in veranda with no less than eight glass doors that lead out to the sunny wooden deck with many patios and other outdoor spots on different levels. The wooden deck has a pool that has a sliding pool roof and is heated by the heat pump, with the outdoor shower by solar energy. The property and garden are architect-designed, and in addition to the spacious wooden deck, has different stone paved and planted sections, as well as a round grassy lawn that is maintained by a robot lawn mower. The lighting in the evening is truly a beautiful sight.
The garage, too, has been expanded and has been totally built anew in a style that matches the house and property. The driveway has parking spaces for two cars behind an electric gate which, like the metal fence, has been custom built according to older plans.
