On the Zeedijk in the picturesque village of Gaast, on the banks of the IJsselmeer, you will find this captivating, newly built villa. The house stands on a plot of around 1,273m2, and consists of a main house and an adjacent studio with garage. The house was built completely new in 2015 and with great attention to detail, and is now awaiting its first residents! During construction, no concessions were made with respect to the quality of the finishing work and luxury. The design was drawn up by Architectenbureau Markus. Because of its location on the dike, there is also a large living room on the first floor with a guaranteed magnificent view out onto the IJsselmeer. This view is almost unobtainable anywhere!
You reach the house via the Zeedijk. It’s located on the corner of the street and immediately gives a well-kept impression. You park your car in front of the large garage, or on the driveway right in front of the house. A generous entrance gives you access to the house. Here you will find the spacious entry hall, naturally with a toilet, meter cupboard and wardrobe, and access to the master bedroom. If you continue, you come upon the living area with the living room on the left-hand side. On the right is the position where the kitchen can be realised. The highlight in this house is the impressive staircase connecting the ground floor to the first floor. The staircase is made of mahogany and the stylish lines are a feast for the eyes. The kitchen area is equipped with all the provisions necessary for realising a kitchen. All of the piping has been installed, giving you the freedom to decide for yourself what sort of kitchen you would like. Adjacent to the kitchen is the garden room, a pleasant room with a large, high void. Sturdy tie rods give the whole a distinguished air and a superb view of the peaked roof. There is a utility room next to the kitchen, and this is also where the back door is located. The home is equipped with underfloor heating and is tiled with a light natural stone used consistently throughout the whole house. The master bedroom is at the front of the house and has its own toilet, a separate bathroom and space for a generous walk-in wardrobe. The mahogany staircase in the living room leads to the first floor. A spacious landing gives access to the existing bedroom, the space on the IJsselmeer side, and the void. A lot of glass has been used in the front façades and in the roof, creating a very light and pleasant space. The front looks out over the IJsselmeer. It’s an almost unimaginably impressive view, and thanks to the seasons and the variable Dutch climate, it’s different every day. This space can also be used as a studio, bedroom or television room. There is a large bedroom to the side, with its own bathroom equipped with a shower, double basin and a separate toilet. Naturally, there is also the option of realising a second bedroom in the open space at the front of the house on this level.
Adjacent to the house is a studio with a garage. This part was built in 2007 and has been used as a photographic studio. On the Zeedijk side there is a large garage with room for a car and storage. The former studio space is next to the garage. Large sliding doors can completely shade the façade from outside. The studio consists of three spaces. In the middle is the studio with its wooden pillars dating back to the 15th century. The space is high and is equipped with everything necessary for studio photography. From there you enter an office area adjoining a kitchen, with a staircase leading up to the attic room, shower and toilet. The entrance with meter cupboard is between the garage and studio. There are also stairs to the floor above the garage, which contains a storage area and central heating system.
The house is surrounded by a wonderful garden. The house backs onto the Dijkvaart and has its own berth, enabling you to take to the water right from your house, to enjoy sailing and other water sports.
