A beautiful archipelago home dating back to the beginning of the 20th century
For years, this house has been the gathering place for the people of Dyrö Island, and has served them in a variety of ways. The building has housed a pharmacy, library. a small bank branch and more.
Many of the patios offer a beautiful sea view, and the location of the house, so close to the harbour, bathing beach and restaurant, is nothing less than perfect.
The entrance level leads you through a lovely glassed-in veranda with a custom-built bench the provides a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee as well as an evening drink.
The spacious kitchen has all the conveniences and is decorated with charming panelling on the walls. Next to the kitchen is a dining area with plenty of room for both your family and friends. French doors lead out to a large porch that enjoys southern exposure and is bathed in sunshine all day long. The entrance level also has a fine living room, as well as a bedroom and lavatory.
The upper floor includes two balconies. Each face a different direction, but both offer an enchanting sea view. The family room here also has a fireplace that helps to create a lovely atmosphere, and transforms a winter evening in front of the television into a moving experience. Naturally, this house is fully winterized, making it a great year-round home. A bedroom and an attractive bathroom round out this level
The lower level has a relaxing spa section with a large sauna and a whirlpool tub. This section also includes a guest room with a bed sofa, plenty of storage space, as well as a laundry room. A useful separate entrance provides you with direct access to the laundry room from the outdoors.
Dyrön is a fantastic island that has lots to offer. There are exciting hiking trails that take you through areas of natural beauty. The Dyröleden Trail is a well-known hiking trail that stretches around the island for a distance of about five kilometres. The view of the Marstrand Fjord, with the fortress of Carlsten in the background, as well as the Pater Noster archipelago and Åstol Island toward the west, is just as captivating as the view to the east of Risön and Hättan islands and the Hake Fjord.
Dyrön Island also features a wonderful seaside sauna that you can reserve for the exclusive use of your party. The island also has two charming marinas, an art gallery, a kiosk, café, a miniature golf course, pizzeria and, of course, an ICA grocery store.
Those who love sport and exercise will enjoy a football pitch, sport centre, tennis courts, and a boules court, in addition to the lovely Dyröleden hiking trail.
We welcome you to this faithfully preserved archipelago home on an island that has everything you could wish for.
