The construction was made colonially inspired with sturdy walls and foundations that make it possible to add a second floor and increase the living space. The water tower has an observation terrace offering breathtaking views of the valley.
One of the most important features of this property is its private kilometre riverfront.
The canyons of Patagonia are found along the same stretch of the Chubut River and are mostly inside the property. The private canyon is 15 km long and has 500 m high walls. The estancia also features plains, valley and a mountain range of over 1000 m in height.
The area has a privileged microclimate which makes the weather amenable year round; Rincon de los Leones experiences temperatures 5 to 7 degrees Celsius warmer than the Andes' front range. The rain fall is approx 300 mm, and there are 300 days of sun per year.
Electricity is powered by a generator and battery accumulations. Each of the residences has its own water tank, internet, and a satellite phone.
The estancia is known for its world-class fly fishing. On an average day, the Chubut River will yield trout of up to 3 kilos. The Estancia is also known for being home to a variety of wild animals such as Guanaco, Hare, Cougars, Foxes, Ostrich, Geese, and Ducks amongst many others.
