Six years in the making, Palacio Chiarino was completed in 1928. The external facades are no pretentious and yet at the same time bedazzling and resplendent in the sheer number of features, manufactured in metal sculptured moulds from French ground stone composites. Purposeful cylindrical granite columns adorn the wonderful first floor Plaza balcony, topped with Ionic Roman capitals. The balcony balusters are in marble or intrinsically forged cast iron panels, each one different in design at each floor level. The walls and floor of the entrance at street level are marbled. Absolutely no expense has been spared in achieving such a well balanced and purposeful room. The dining room is beautifully decorated with stained glass and a marble fireplace from Florence, Italy. The walls of the coffee and tea room room are covered with original silk paper of the 20's. All rooms in the main section have high ceilings (more than 4 meter high).The apartment has been very well maintained as it was conceived in the 1920´s, to its original standing. New hot water thanks in all the bathrooms. New water pipes in kitchen and 3 bathrooms. The building: The central heating system has been changed to a state of the art electronic gas system.
