Casa el Faro consists of three separate pavilions, or living units, that offer a wide range of accommodation options. Casa el Faro is also fully eco-friendly. There is also a 7.5 kw diesel generator as a backup to the solar system, but it is rarely used; the backup batteries can provide electricity during extended periods of no sunshine. Water is supplied by an onsite water well which goes through an Ecoserve water-purification system.

The main pavilion provides the largest living area and includes an entry hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, and bedroom. The office-bedroom in the main pavilion can either be a 4th bedroom — or it can be used as a studio apartment with its own bathroom. This bathroom can also serve as a guest bathroom that is separate from the en-suite facilities in the pavilions. When used as a master, both the bedroom, bath, and dressing room provide complete privacy away from the living areas. The spacious kitchen is well designed and equipped with a full range of modern appliances. A fully covered porch leads out to the gardens and private solar heated swimming pool with panoramic ocean views.

The guest pavilion is a two storey building that contains two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both bedrooms have balconies with ocean views. All bedrooms have been wired for air conditioning, but they are rarely needed. The elevated hillside location of this property has constant cooling breezes off the ocean that are distributed by ceiling fans to provide great ventilation. There are also outside showers and coralina, natural stone floors throughout.

The design of Casa el Faro provides an opportunity for owners and guests to enjoy time together in the main areas with excellent privacy if and when needed.
