Description

Haciendas El Choco 37 is also known as Villa Suenó Tropical. And it is stunning. The main road inside the community has been recently repaved and as you approach the villa you immediately get the sense of quality and consistent care and maintenance. The main entrance to the villa is graced with stone pillars and decorative walls and fencing that surrounds the estate. Stone pavers connect the main road to the private drive that leads up to the villa. The tropical gardens are the first to attract your attention, but the stone borders of the driveway and the Caribbean design of the villa come to the forefront.

The main entry draws you into the spacious 1,000 square meter interior of villa which begins with a 60-square meter entrance hall that contains a large fountain made of coral stone. The entrance hall leads to the Moorish living room with 6 columns supporting a canopy of round arches with indirect lighting. To the left of the entrance hall is the dining room with two double doors and an expansive window that offers a panoramic view of the ocean. Adjacent to the dining room is a 40-square meter mahogany kitchen with tiles throughout. It is equipped with all electric appliances and leaves nothing to be desired. In total, the villa has 38 mahogany windows and 50 mahogany doors.

A wrought-iron and stone stairway leads to the guest accommodations above. To the left is the 30-square meter master bedroom with six windows and 4 doors which lead to the front and to the back of the terrace that surrounds the entire house. A round limestone arch leads to an 8-square meter closet made out of mahogany and used as cloakroom, for shoes and other equipment. En suite is a changing room and outside the two showers made of limestone. The gallery above is elliptical and has a glass dome, offering a beautiful view of the tropical stars at night. A mahogany staircase leads to the sensational tower room with a roof terrace that offers a breathtaking 32-kilometer ocean view, from Cabarete to Puerto Plata. Every bedroom is a totally equipped and has an 8-square meter ensuite dressing room. 3 bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning, all the other rooms have ceiling fans.

Once back on the main floor of the villa, there is an artfully designed double door that leads from the entrance hall to the large terrace. From there, a 3-meter wide flight of stairs takes you to the swimming pool terrace that overlooks the large swimming pool. In turn, the elevated terrace overlooks acres of lush gardens, fountains, and private gathering areas scattered around the grounds. For leisurely walks, winding walkways lead you into the most intimate of places. At the end of the terrace surrounding the house is a gazebo with a roof, stonework benches and tables. This spot offers on one side a spectacular view of the Cordillera Septentrional with palm forests, and on the other side a view of the majestic “San Isabel de Torres” mountain and the sparkling ocean.

Outside the villa are 38 exterior lamps that transform the villa into a fairytale castle at night. Along the garden paths are 30 artfully designed ceramic lamps on pedestals and the garden is illuminated by 39 garden spots at night. The pool spotlights transform the pool into a turquoise lagoon at night.

The villa has its own power supply and the crystal clear drinking water that comes from several artesian wells. The water is stored on the property in a huge cistern. The villa comes complete with exquisite interior furnishings, bed linen, towels, dishes, 5 T.V.s, computer equipment, printer and 5 phones throughout the house. Also included is Mitsubishi Montero.
