Urban Castle

This stupendous castle dates to medieval times. Its foundations were used to build the present townhouse, designed by the renowned French architect Victor Louis. Two rooms, the gate and the grand staircase have been listed as historical monuments. Purchased in 2009 by its present owners, the building has been completely restored with the utmost respect given to its ancient features. Becoming a family house benefiting from a profitable bed and breakfast and ’table d’hôte’, one now finds seven suites, an apartment, a bar, a theater and several sumptuous reception rooms. Access to shops and restaurants in a few minutes on foot, in this small city just south of Bergerac.
