Veneto - 13 Km from Asolo

Villa Santa Chiara is situated in the heart of a small town in the Veneto region, in a private position, just a short walk from the town’s historic centre.
The famous little town of Asolo (13 km) is just 10 minutes away by car, while the major towns of Padua (54 km), Vicenza (54 km), Venice (62 km) and Belluno (65 km) are all less than an hour away.
The property consists of a main manor house with an adjacent “barchessa” (a porticoed rural outbuilding) and has a total gross surface area of approximately 1564 sqm. There is also a 75 sqm porch, a 23 sqm greenhouse, a 58 sqm terrace and two small buildings for agricultural use, measuring 30 sqm and 60 sqm respectively, on two levels. There are more than two hectares of garden surrounding the property.
The nearest airport is that of Venice Marco Polo, which is 53 km away.

Description of buildings
The construction of the manor house and the “barchessa” dates back to the 16th century. Later, in the 19th century, they were partially restored and a garden with fountains, waterfalls and streams was created from a design by a French architect of the time.
The “barchessa” is a rural building, typical of the architecture of Venetian villas, used for service rooms (kitchens, homes of field-workers), stables and rustic annexes (tool sheds, storage rooms for food supplies, etc.). “Barchessa” buildings were usually built next to the manor house and were an integral part of a productive agricultural complex.
The Manor House is spread over three levels and contains the living area.
On the ground floor, there is the living area with the reception entrance, three small lounges, a study, a living room with a fireplace, a sitting room, also with a fireplace, and a dining room, that all look out onto porch, a kitchen, a laundry room, a guard room and a bathroom.
The two upper floors are used as the sleeping area:
- the first floor is divided into a central lounge, two suites, one of which has exclusive access to the large terrace, two bedrooms with private bathroom and an additional 5 bedrooms with a bathroom;
- the second floor consists of 5 bedrooms and a bathroom.

On the ground floor of the “barchessa” building, there is a kitchen, two studies, a living room, a greenhouse, two garages and a large area intended originally as stables. The upper floor, connected to the sleeping area of the main villa, is divided into large rooms, used for storage.

The property also includes two small rural outbuildings: a laundry room, with a gross surface area of 30 sqm and the ancient the carpenters’ dwelling, measuring 60 gross sqm and spread over two levels.

The manor house is ready to live in, but deserves some conservation work to bring it back to its former glory, while the “barchessa” building is in need of full renovation.
The two small outbuildings also need restructuring, except for the roof of the ancient carpenters’ dwelling, which has been recently renovated.

Outdoor space
Villa Santa Chiara is surrounded by over two hectares of well-kept garden, created in the 19th century by a French architect.

Usage and potential
Because of its private location, thanks to the large park that surrounds it, and, at the same time, its position in the centre of a small town with all necessary amenities and services, Villa Santa Chiara is an ideal property both as a private or a reception residence.
Its proximity to Asolo, which is ranked as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, and to other important towns in the north of Italy (Venice, Padua, Vicenza, Belluno) also makes Villa Santa Chiara the perfect property to use as a high-level accommodation activity.
