Property Description

This stunning farmstead surrounded by an enchanting hilly area is for sale in the Marche.
This magnificent estate measures 85,000 m2 and is stretched over sweet rolling hills and velvet-like valleys, in this region's greenest area. It features a luxurious main villa, a guesthouse and two charming buildings framing a 570 m2 internal courtyard with an Italian-style garden.
The four buildings, each in a different colour, measure a total of 3,000 m2.
The main villa measures 1,200 m2 and dates back to the year 1000. It was subject to careful and very expensive complete refurbishment in the 1990s, designed to deeply respect its roots.
By entering the villa from its elegant entrance, we will find a bronze statue made by Florentine artist William Xerra.
This floor is home to a bright and spacious living area featuring a series of en-suite living rooms, a dining room, an eat-in kitchen, a study, two bathrooms and a hallway; there is also an elevator to access the upper floors.
The stunning cross vaults of all ceilings have been finely frescoed with this area's evocative, spiritual images with echoes to the history of this prestigious complex.
The floors of all rooms were rebuilt by using preexisting elements and tiled with this region's travertine marble. The first floor, the so-called piano nobile, can be accessed by elevator or by climbing an elegant internal staircase; it features a spacious central hall and another eight rooms.
The renovation works on this floor brought some wonderful original frescoes dating back to 1635 back to light, together with some other frescoes that were painted in different times between the 12th and 19th centuries.
On the second floor there is a spacious hall used as a general wardrobe, and another four suites: each suite is composed of a bedroom, a walkway with closet, and a big marble bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The whole floor features wooden floors with big durmast pieces.
The guesthouse is on two floors and more recent, as it was opened on July 21 1851.
On the ground floor there is a spacious, enchanting hall with a fireplace overlooking the green internal courtyard; on the upper floor there are four bedrooms, including two with a mezzanine, and three big bathrooms.
The other two buildings have different purposes: one is home to the keeper's lodge, the other features rooms used for the swimming pool and a wonderful big hall with truss ceilings.
The aforementioned swimming pool is in a very intimate area surrounded by a colourful and very well-tended garden: it is framed by travertine marble, the big pool is tiled with mosaics and has a wonderful English-style lawn all around it.
Last but not least, there is also a lovely, small private chapel: a true little gem that is still adorned with its original furnishings and connects the main villa to the guesthouse.
The gardens running around these four buildings are divided into stunning terracings: great attention to detail and a remarkable bio-diversity featuring palms, cycas, Medicean lemon trees, orange trees and tangerines, combined with a romantic rose garden on an arbour, make this park truly unique and unforgettable.
Moreover, besides the gardens close to the buildings, the remaining part of this beautiful property's grounds feature a big, spectacular olive grove composed of over 1,400 productive olive trees of this area's typical varieties, combined with enchanting strokes of cypresses.
