In Winter 2018/19 this Triumph Rocket 3 was turned into a one of a kind cafe racer/roadster by german custom garage Hammer Kraftrad. With a lot of attention to detail and handmade parts what once was a cruiser became a heavy roadster with racing appearance.
While the powerful presence of the motorcycle was maintained other attributes like the handling were opimized. The foot rests being placed further in the back and the added superbike handlebar as well as the Wilbers shock absorbers only add to the great riding comfort. The rocket itself being a big bike makes it perfect for tall riders and everyone who enjoys powerful machines. Performance wise the motor is pushed further due to a new air intake with K&N air filters and a Zard exhaust system. On the performance test bench all of the electronic throttles were removed and the motor was adjusted to the maximum torque.
Working with aluminum is Michael Hammer's speciality so parts like the gas tank, the fairing and the seating as well as the fenders are made by hand by Hammer himself. Their form follows the appearance of the modern roadster/cafe racer without forgetting about the Rocket's original boldness. Talking about the timeless paintwork that was done on the motorcycle one can see a tribute to the legendary Lotus racing cars and great britain the home of the Triumph Rocket.
The custom bike was built up after german policies and got its cerification by the german inspecting authority TÜV.
The Triumph Rocket by Hammer Kraftrad was featured on the cover of german motorcycle magazine MO.
