Rare Antique royal-style Chinese hetian white jade from the Qing Dynasty (18th to 19th Century), ancient China. Workmanship is superb - typical of mid-Qing Dynasty.
Meaning: two Chinese characters are carved in the middle, "Da Ji", which means "good fortune", surrounded by two phoenixes on the sides, two bats at the top, and two Ru Yi (a Buddhist religious instrument with the shape of a traditional Chinese medicinal plant, the Ganoderma) a the bottom. Bat means "prosperity and happiness". Ru Yi symbolizes dreams coming true.
Material: white with a beautiful texture. Hetian jade is the most precious kind of jade and white jade is the most valued kind.
Size (L*W*H): 6.23 cm * 4.33 cm * 0.54 cm. Perfect condition- no chip or damage, and with a shine typical of antique Chinese jade.
Note: just a few days ago, another pendant with simpler workmanship from the same period was sold in an auction in China for 160k RMB (equivalent to 20733 EUR).
