The farmhouse is located in the municipality of Castiglion d’Orcia, a medieval village situated on the ridge that from Bagno Vignoni, where there are ancient Roman baths, goes up towards Monte Amiata. Famous for its ancient fortress, a breathtaking view of the Val d’Orcia and an enviable climate during the summer months. Castiglion d’Orcia is easily reached by following the Cassia that goes from Siena towards Rome. A few kilometres away are villages with a rich artistic heritage such as San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza and Montepulciano and the spa towns of Bagno Vignoni, Chianciano Terme, Bagni San Filippo. The food and wine panorama is the typical Tuscan one; Montalcino, known for the famous Brunello, is about twenty minutes away by car, on the road that leads to the sea. The closest airports are Rome and Florence.
