Day 1 – Tokyo: Arrival transfer and day at leisure

Overnight at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo
Day 2 – Tokyo: Full Day visit
Dive into the vibrant Tsukiji fish market, stroll the peaceful Hamarikyu Garden and rest on boat cruise to Asakusa before reaching the Sensoji Temple and Nakamise dori merchant street.
Witness a sophisticated Tea Ceremony or experience the quiet art of Calligraphy in private settings before exploring the upscale Ginza district and department stores.

Day 3 - Tokyo: Daytrip to Nikko
Transfer to Nikko (2 hours) and explore the intricately carved Toshogu mausoleum and the Futarasan Shrine, dedicated to the Shinto gods of Nikko in beautiful mountains.
After Lunch, admire the Chuzenji volcanic Lake and Kegon waterfalls before setting back to Tokyo.

Day 4 - Tokyo to Hakone: Full day visit
Depart for Hakone, a volcanic national park near Mt.Fuji. Enjoy a stunning ropeway ride and walk in the volcanic Owakudani Volcanic Valley. Take in the views of sulfurous fumes and hot springs.
Enjoy a lake cruise on Lake Ashi with views of Mt.Fuji in the background (weather permitting), followed by world-class Hakone Contemporary Open Air Museum in picturesque mountain settings.

Day 5 - Hakone to Kyoto: Afternoon visit
Transfer by chartered vehicle to Odawara station and board a “bullet-train” in first-class seats to Kyoto.
Upon arrival, visit the Kinkaku-ji temple, covered in Gold leaves and the serene Ryoan-ji temple, famed for its rock garden inviting to meditation.

Day 6 - Kyoto: Full day visit
Start at the Kiyomizu-dera Temple offering magnificent views of Kyoto and take a relaxing stroll through the old neighbourhood of “Sannenzaka” before reaching the Kodaiji Temple and Yasakajinja shrine.
Explore the nearby “Geisha” district of Gion, known for the preservation of its traditional architecture and entertainment. On the way back, stop at the Sanjusangendo Hall and marvel at its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy.

Day 7 – Nara: Full day visit
Transfer to Nara (1 hour) and greet the hundreds of freely roaming deers. Visit Kasugataisha Shrine with its numerous bronze and stone lanterns and move on to Todaiji temple, the largest wooden building in the world and home to the giant statue of Buddha Virocana.
Finish your day in Naramachi, the former merchant district of Nara, featuring traditional warehouses and residential buildings, as well as many small, authentic shops and boutiques. Back to Kyoto by 17.00 pm.

Day 8: Transfer to Kansai International Airport:
Transfer in a chartered vehicle with an English speaking driver to Kansai International Airport and check-in. Board your international flight and enjoy your onward journey.
