Around the year 1000 it became a monastery and in 1474 was given to a family of counts who used it as a summer and hunting residence.The mansion consists of 27 units, 11 apartments and 16 suites, all finely restored with chestnut wood beams and old terracotta floors.The restoration was carried out with the Ministry of Culture, which considers it a model restoration because of the thoroughness of the work done and the quality of the materials used. 23 units are listed i.e part of the Italian National Endowment with large tax benefits. The units range from 59 to 186 sq. m. and have 1 to 3 bedrooms, 96 percent of which have their own bathrooms.
