Villa Chandon, Einzigartige Immobilie An Der Amalfiküste

Splendid Villa 'Pieds dans l'eau' in the Conca dei Marini bay, 50 steps from the fishing hamlet of Conca, where the local fisherman once brought in their spoils. The building used to be an old rope factory until the Chandon family purchased it and turned it into a private residence. Spanish architect Julio la Fuente oversaw the restoration, merging the factory building with its adjacent small stone house which once belonged to Coco Chanel. One of the main requests of the Chandon family was that the property had to satisfy their love for outdoor living and more importantly the possibility to enjoy the spectacular views throughout the house, so La Fuente created an enormous terrace shaded by a bamboo roof that offers breathtaking sea views. Accessible via sea, the villa guarantees the owner exceptional privacy.
This magnificent terrace greets you when you enter the house from the stone staircase, it then leads you to a very large living area made up of a reading area, a bar area and a seating area that circles the fireplace, ideal for when summer surrenders to autumn. In accordance with mediterranean tradition white reigns throughout the house, interrupted every now and then with hand painted ceramic tiles from Vietri and natural rock walls. Through one of the kitchens a spiral stone staircase is accessed that leads down to the bedrooms, eight in total with ten bathrooms all carved out of the rock face, each with their very own sea view. One of the suites was designed and still features hand painted tiles by Coco Chanel. Two private staircases to the sea along with a platform/solarium and boat mooring area complete the property.
