The Lamborghini Aventador was revealed to the public in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show, also Lamborghini announced in that year that the Aventador will replace the Murcielago as the new flagship model. The Aventador has, as its predecessors, scissor doors that open by going up and a V12 mid-engine. The 690hp strong bull goes from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 350km/h. The Aventador Roadster has been released with the Coupe and has a two-piece carbon fibre hardtop and it is available here. After the Countach was available in a special edition to celebrate Lamborghini’s 25th anniversary, the Aventador had to have a special edition for Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. The 2013 LP720-4 is a 20hp stronger version with some slight body modifications limited to 200 items (100 coupes and 100 convertibles). In 2016 the Aventador SV has been released. SV stands for “Super Veloce” which is Italian for “super fast” and that name is what the car is like. A 50hp power increasement, 50kg less weight and a downforce increasement of 180% opposed to the standard Aventador make the Aventador literally “super fast”.
